OK5K 2020
Since 1955, Eggleston has been dedicated to providing meaningful training, employment opportunities, recreation activities and residential services to thousands of adults with disabilities. The OK5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk is Eggleston’s only fundraising event, and all proceeds directly support our mission.
Proceeds from the OK5K event also support our very special summer camp program at Civitan in Chesapeake. Eggleston’s Camp Civitan offers individuals with significant disabilities the chance to have a life changing camping experience, while giving their caregivers much needed respite.

OK5K Details
The 11th Annual Eggleston OK5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk is a truly special race. Join us for a race through the beautiful campus of Virginia Wesleyan University, and have the opportunity to make a difference in our community! The OK5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk is an exciting morning that is open to runners and walkers of all ability levels, families with strollers, wheelchair racers and more. You might even see some of the amazing
people we serve out on the course!
Following the 1Mile & 5K race, we invite you to join us for our post-race celebration breakfast and awards ceremony.

Race Entry Fees:
- 5K Run/Walk: $30 ($35 for on-site registration)
- 1 Mile Run/Walk: $15 ($20 for on-site registration)
- Both 5K & 1 Mile: $40 ($45 for on-site registration)

Want to help Eggleston but can’t join us on race day? Please consider a donation! Proceeds from the OK5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk will help to offset the cost of Eggleston’s year-round services to adults with disabilities, including Summer Camp at Civitan.
Race Map & Location
The OK5K is held on the beautiful campus of Virginia Wesleyan University. The campus is conveniently located off I-64 and I-264 in Norfolk, VA.
Volunteer
Join our Volunteer Crew on race day! We love our volunteers because they bring the party to the OK5K & 1 Mile
Run/Walk! You can help with race registration, passing out medals, handing out waters, setting up promo aterials and more. If you have a lot of energy and want to cheer our runners, walkers, rollers and strollers on, we want you!
