Landscape Worker – Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. Eggleston is currently seeking applicants for a part time landscape worker for the landscaping business in Norfolk. Position must be filled by a person with a disability. Applicants must provide documentation of a disability with the Eggleston application to be considered.
Landscape worker will complete manual labor tasks and operation of all power equipment needed to maintain lawns, planting beds, shrubs, trees, roads, and parking areas. Worker will mow using push and riding equipment, rake, blowers, and sprayers, conduct preventive maintenance/minor repairs on equipment, and assist with building maintenance during inclement weather.
Qualified applicant will have a high school diploma or GED and related experience. Must be able to work safely, practice all safety regulations and practices, be able to push, pull, stoop, climb, be able to wear and use safety equipment as required, be able to tolerate outside conditions in all types of weather, be able to work around insects and chemicals, and be able to lift 50 pounds. Clearance through criminal background investigation, drug screening, and acceptable DMV record required.
