At our facility a Mechanic on staff maximizes the value of donated vehicles by performing needed repairs. Performs repairs and routine maintenance for corporate vehicles. Responsible for providing own tools.
The Mechanic will perform a full range of auto repairs at our location in Norfolk, as needed, on all vehicle makes and models. Must be knowledgeable in methods, tools, equipment; computerized diagnostic equipment, and materials used in the repair of vehicles. Mechanic will also assist customers as needed.
Our auto repair facility is open Monday through Friday from 8AM until 4:30PM. Eggleston offers a very competitive benefits package including paid leave and holidays.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a state safety inspection license (or ability to get one), knowledge in the automobile industry and extensive knowledge of automobile repair. The work is sometimes performed outside during inclement weather. Must be able to tolerate a work environment that is prone to high and low temperature fluctuations, dust, dirt, and industrial fluids. Must be knowledgeable in methods, tools, equipment; computerized diagnostic equipment, and materials used in the repair of vehicles. Ability to work a flexible work schedule including some weekends. Clearance through criminal background investigation, drug screening, and acceptable DMV record required.
